Physical therapy can help you move better, feel better, and perform better.  However, most people don’t know how to access physical therapy or understand how it works. Here are a few frequently asked questions to guide you through your decision-making process.

A healthcare service provided by certified and licensed physical therapists, of which the majority have their Doctorate. These therapists address musculoskeletal issues over the entire body with stretches, strengthening exercises, various specialized treatments, and manual therapies.

One of the key benefits of physical therapy is that it is a safe alternative to addressing pain without pharmaceuticals. And it addresses the root cause of issues through a treatment plan designed specifically for you.

At ZK Physical Therapy & Chiropractic (ZKORC), we offer one-on-one treatment with our physical therapist. Each visit lasts between 45 minutes to 1-hour.  (Includes: initial consult, retreatment review, to actual care plan). This care plan happens with each visit to our center.

During your initial complimentary consultation, you will be seen by a licensed physical therapist who will listen to your concerns and then complete a comprehensive evaluation. Together, we will design a treatment plan with your goals in mind.

With so many treatment options for aches and pains, physical therapy is one option of many. A complimentary consult is a no-risk, no-commitment appointment to determine if physical therapy is the right fit for you and discuss the issues you are experiencing.

Your initial evaluation is $150.  Our single session cash rate is $100 per visit. 

We offer discount rates if you buy a package of visits. For example, our new patient package is $350 (includes initial evaluation, three (3) one-on-one sessions, progress report, and customized home exercise program). We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance carriers and participate with many local provider networks.

Patient benefits are verified before the start of treatment, and individualized payment plans are available to those without coverage. Our friendly and helpful patient service staff will be happy to verify your health care benefits. As a courtesy, we also submit all claims for you.   We’ll work closely with you to accommodate your individual needs. For quick and easy verification of benefits, please call 702.840.1222.

If you are cash pay, no referral is needed.  However, certain insurances may require a physician referral in order to cover your PT visits. Call our office and our administrator will be happy to verify with your insurance company.

Through Medicaid services, a referral is issued in writing by your primary care physician when he or she feels you must visit another health care provider for treatment or tests. Prior authorization is required after the initial evaluation.

Through Medicare services, a physician must provide a referral in order for a patient to seek care from a physical therapist. Note: complications with coverage can occur if you see a specialist who is not Medicare-approved or opts out of accepting Medicare payments.

Excluding our therapist’s vacation or extended period of time away from the office, you may be treated by the same physical therapist and physical therapy assistant each time you are at our facility.

For cash pay patients, the initial 30-minute consultation is free. However, cash pay patients are responsible for the cost of visits at the time of service.  Please call for our current rates. When you schedule an initial appointment at ZKORC (and you wish to bill your treatments through your insurance), your copay will be collected prior to every session.  As a courtesy, we submit claims to your insurance company.

Comfortable and athletic clothing is preferred. For upper body conditions, please bring a tank top or loose-fitting T-shirt. For spine and lower body conditions, please bring shorts or loose-fitting pants. Closed-toe shoes, preferably tennis shoes/sneakers are recommended.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete all necessary paperwork. To save time, we can send forms to you to complete ahead of time, and we’ll get you started even faster.
